U.S. Congressman Robert Latta
has served as the representative of Ohio’s 5th Congressional District since 2007. Mr. Latta was born in Bluffton, Ohio, to Del and Rose Latta in 1956.
Congressman Latta attended the Fairfax Christian School while his father was serving in the U.S. Congress. He went on to earn a B.A. at Bowling Green State University in 1978 and his J.D. at the University of Toledo College of Law in 1981. Upon completing his education, he began practicing law.
After he was elected in 1991 as the Wood County Commissioner, his passion for giving back to his community eventually led him in 2000 to successfully seek to represent Ohio’s 3rd House of Representatives district. In 2006, he ran for and won the honor to represent the district his father represented from 1959 to 1989.
Bob has said, “…the education I received at the Fairfax Christian School has carried forward into my professional life.” We are very proud of the service he has given our nation and humbled by his kind words.
