Summer is a fun and busy time at the Fairfax Christian School. Our summer programs offer students an opportunity to explore, engage and expand their minds.
There are several different summer options for students. Younger school students, age 5 through 12, can participate in our Real American Manners Camp. International students, beginning at age 9, can participate in our USACompete Summer Intensive English Institute and our US Culture Camps. All programs taught by our stellar Fairfax Christian School faculty. Nestled on 28 wooded acres, the Fairfax Christian School campus is a great place to spend a safe summer.
SUMMER ENGLISH INSTITUTE
Session One: July 17-August 4
Session Two: August 7-August 25
Students excel in our intensive summer English classes which are designed to quickly increase students’ English skills. Classes meet from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. There are two three-week sessions in July and August.
Students begin each session with comprehensive placement tests. Test results are then used to place each student in the appropriate levels for phonics, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, conversation, public speaking and TOEFL preparation. Students work in small groups with personal attention from Fairfax Christian School’s teachers.
Student also attend weekly education field trips to popular site in the Washington, DC, area.
The program is offered for middle and high school students, from age 9 and up.

US CULTURE CAMPS
Our US Culture Camps are designed for agents who want to bring groups of students to the Washington, DC, area. Agents usually include our program as part of a larger US summer tour.
The program is offered for middle and high school students, from ages 9 and up. They include both daily educational lessons from our faculty and a corresponding field trip.

REAL AMERICAN MANNERS CAMP
To help children become more self-confident and courteous, The Fairfax Christian School and USACompete offers our annual summer etiquette camp. This camp is designed to help students achieve important leadership and social skills. Students will learn: proper deportment; how to write proper invitations, thank you notes and letters; how to give a party; how to make a phone call; how to be a good guest; how to receive and give gifts; how to dress for different occasions; and table manners for any occasion. The day camp includes a daily field trip with lunch to a variety of local restaurants, including a formal meal at Hidden Creek Country Club.
