Cardinals In Flight

Carter Polachek, Bee Sothy, Enoch Tan and Yilin Tan competed in the ACE National History Bee National finals in Atlanta, Georgia, on the first and second of June. The National History Bee consisted of intense buzzer–based rounds against students from all over the country. A number of our competitors made it to the championship rounds. We are especially proud of Bee Sothy, who placed 23rd and Yilin Tan, who placed 109th out of 450 competing 7th grade students.

Yilin Tan and Joseph Thoburn also qualified for the National Geography Olympiad in Atlanta, Georgia. The National Geography Olympiad consisted of a written exam in U.S. Geography and a buzzer–based competition for World Geography.

Our competitors were honored during the end of the year awards assembly for their hard work preparing for the national competition. We are very proud of each student who challenged themselves in the school bee, regional finals and national finals. We look forward to seeing how they do in next year’s National History Bee.
