Our faculty is preparing to welcome you back-to-school next week.

The 2026–2027 school year begins next week. As we transition into the new year, we would like to share some important upcoming dates, as well as a few changes we have implemented. We look forward to welcoming everyone back.

Future Weekly Reminders will be emailed to you as a link and posted under the Cardinal Insights tab on the Fairfax Christian School website.

Back-to-School Dates
Here is a brief overview of what is to come. More information and details can be found in the back-to-school letter that you received.

• Orientations
  Orientations will be on Monday, August 24. Lower school families, four-year-old kindergarten through fourth grade, will have a “Meet-Your-Teacher” orientation. Please come at your convenience between 9:00am and 12:00pm. Students and parents will meet their teachers and visit their classrooms. Middle and high school students will have orientation in the afternoon.

• First Day of School
  The first day of school will be Tuesday, August 25. All students are required to wear their uniforms on the first day of school.

• Back-to-School Night
  We will have a Back-to-School Night for our parents on Wednesday, September 9. Join us for a Library Talk with Jo Thoburn and meet the teachers, explore the curriculum, and kick off a fantastic school year together. See you there!

2025–2026 Uniform Purchases 
FlynnO'Hara is our uniform provider. You can order uniforms online or directly from a FlynnO'Hara store. Families are encouraged to get their uniform needs taken care of as early as possible. Last minute orders can run into delays due to high volume. Click here to go to the FlynnO'Hara website to register and log in. 

Clubs
The 2026–2027 interest poll, will be sent out later today. Please be on the lookout for it in your emails. To get involved or share your ideas, please contact Mr. Pangle at pangle@studyfcs.com. 

Middle School Girls Volleyball
Volleyball practice schedules are available on the FACTS calendar. Any 5th–8th grade girls interested in joining the team, please contact Mr. Pangle at pangle@studyfcs.com.

School Lunches
We are excited to announce our new lunch program! This upcoming year we have partnered with Cafesano to provide healthy lunch options for our students and staff. With this change, ordering will be different this year. Now all lunch orders can be done through FACTS. An email will be sent with more information on the menu and instructions on how to place your order. 

Communication
Are you receiving your emails and text alerts from FCS through FACTS? If not, please log in to the FACTS﹣Family Portal and update your contact information. All fifth through twelfth grade students need an email address to receive a FACTS SIS login.

After School Clubs, Sports Games, Practices, and School Events
Please consult the school calendar on the FACTS Family Portal for practice and game times, up-to-date information regarding after school clubs, school activities and FCS events.
