Back-to-School Night
We will have a Back-to-School Night for our parents on Wednesday, September 9. Join us for a Library Talk with Jo Thoburn and meet the teachers, explore the curriculum, and kick off a fantastic school year together. See you there!
School Lunches
Please make sure all lunch orders are in by Friday at 3pm through FACTS. Click here for ordering instructions. If you have any questions about lunches, please contact Mr. Pangle at pangle@studyfcs.com.
Clubs
Thank you for filling out our clubs poll. Your thoughts and interests have been noted. Mr. Pangle is working on the schedule and will reach out with more information soon.
Middle School Girls Volleyball
The first practice is on Tuesday, September 1. All Volleyball practice schedules are available on the FACTS calendar. There are still a couple of roster spots available for 5th–8th grade girls. If you are interested in joining the team, please contact Mr. Pangle at pangle@studyfcs.com.
Uniform Purchases
FlynnO'Hara is our uniform provider. You can order uniforms online or directly from a FlynnO'Hara store. Families are encouraged to get their uniform needs taken care of as early as possible. Last minute orders can run into delays due to high volume. Click here to go to the FlynnO'Hara website to register and log in.
Communication
Are you receiving your emails and text alerts from FCS through FACTS? If not, please log in to the FACTS Family Portal and update your contact information. All fifth through twelfth grade students need an email address to receive a FACTS SIS login.
After School Clubs, Sports Games, Practices, and School Events
Please consult the school calendar on the FACTS Family Portal for practice and game times, up-to-date information regarding after school clubs, school activities and FCS events.
Navigating the New F-1 Visa Rules
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has finalized a major update to foreign-student visa regulations. Replacing the long-standing “Duration of Status” framework — the system that has governed F-1 students for roughly four decades — the federal government is moving F-1 students to a fixed period of admission beginning September 15, 2026. At Fairfax Christian School, we are committed to helping our international families stay fully compliant so our students can focus on their academics. Click here for a clear breakdown of how the new rule affects middle and high school F-1 students.
