Weekly Reminders: 09/11/2026
The third grade class participated in a lab to discover the instruments they will be studying about this year in science.
Thank you to all the families who joined us for a fantastic Back-to-School Night! It was a great turnout and we enjoyed getting to update you on your student’s progress.
Student Schedule Changes
The deadline for student schedule changes is now, Friday, September 18. Please contact Mrs. McCambridge for any questions.
Retake Policy
We have a new Retake Policy that will need to be signed by the student and a parent for sixth through twelfth grade. Please return these to Mrs. McCambridge by Friday, September 18. We will have copies at the front office or you can print it off from the Resource tab in the FACTS Family Portal.
Dress Code
Mr. Pangle has noticed some dress code violations recently. All students need to comply with our school’s Dress Code Policy and uniforms must be from FlynnO'Hara. Shoes need to be all black with navy or black socks, or the shoes must be all white with white socks. A copy of the Dress Code and the Handbook can be found in the FACTS Family Portal under the Resource tab. Please make the necessary changes to meet our policy by this upcoming Monday, September 14.
School Lunches
Please make sure all lunch orders are in by Friday at 3pm through FACTS. Click here for ordering instructions. If you have any questions about lunches, please contact Mr. Pangle.
Photos
If you have any photos from sports or school events for the yearbook, please email them to Mrs. Macphail.
Communication
Are you receiving your emails and text alerts from FCS through FACTS? If not, please log in to the FACTS Family Portal and update your contact information. All fifth through twelfth grade students need an email address to receive a FACTS login.
After School Clubs, Sports Games, Practices, and School Events
Please consult the school calendar on the FACTS Family Portal for practice and game times, up-to-date information regarding after school clubs, school activities and FCS events.
Navigating the New F-1 Visa Rules
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has finalized a major update to foreign student visa regulations. Replacing the long-standing “Duration of Status” framework—the system that has governed F-1 students for roughly four decades—the federal government is moving F-1 students to a fixed period of admission beginning September 15, 2026. At Fairfax Christian School, we are committed to helping our international families stay fully compliant so our students can focus on their academics. Click here for a clear breakdown of how the new rule affects middle and high school F-1 students.
